?How music helps to withstand the pain of injection |
A new study shows that when children need for painful injections, the music therapy may help them to withstand it.
She added that children who listened to music during a routine visit to immunized by injection were less tense and more able to withstand the procedure, compared with those who were not exposed to music therapy and that their parents were less tense, too.
Said Olivia whittling author of the study and treatment of music at the University of Kentucky Blxiizon "Although the music will not necessarily remove the child's anguish or pain, the use of distraction could help him to focus less on pain, which may improve the awareness of the process of injection."
Previous studies have concluded that music greatly reduce the pain and anxiety associated with medical procedures.
And it participated in the new study, three facilities for medical care in 2011 and 2012 and included 58 children aged between four and six and 62 parents and 19 nurse Qmn injection process.
She dragged in a report published in the journal of music therapy that not only make children listen to music during the injection, but a cofactor was already making children and parents "interact with the processor music and we made sure that we meet the needs of the child at every stage of the procedure."
Melissa Stockwell said a pediatrician and the injection Melman Faculty of Public Health at Columbia University, was not involved in the study, said that processor music pediatrician clinic is impractical in light of the global time and cost.
But she added that one of the most important ways syringes used by parents and doctors to protect children, so "everything that makes this experience more positive be fantastic."
