He pointed to the recent dialogue between Al-Azhar and the Vatican, and what resulted from the agreement on holding an international conference for peace, and work together to fight against poverty, extremism and terrorism as an important step worthy of support and build on them, they promote a culture of tolerance and global co-existence, and confirms that the world is in the same trench against the forces of extremism and terrorism, and the move reflects the central role that awaits the peoples of the world of religious institutions in the work for peace and build bridges of understanding on a global level.

For his part, he praised the pope Francis efforts by the United Arab Emirates for the promotion of tolerance, dialogue and coexistence between different peoples humanitarian and charitable initiatives toward the peoples and poor countries, especially in the areas of education and health, and their contributions to the promotion of sustainable development by finding lasting solutions to sources of energy and support communities in need.
