The European Union announced that it will examine whether Bosnia has the makings to become a member in the EU, while the bloc continues to expand after months of Britain's decision to leave the Union.
The European Union issued, orders the European Commission to determine whether Bosnia gained a status of "candidate", a process that could take a year, according to the "ABC's" American Network reported on Tuesday.
Said Ivan Krkk, a senior Foreign Ministry official Slovak "This is a good day not only for Bosnia, but also to us. We demonstrate that the expansion and to draw closer to nations aspiring to join a successful strategy." Now, the Commission will send a survey to Bosnia to get thousands of answers on their vulnerability to join.
The complex political system in Bosnia, disputes continued between Bosnians, Serbs and Croats have resulted in preventing the country from progress faster, and catch up with neighboring countries on the road to joining the EU, as well as display the Bosnian economy to the destruction completely by the war which took place between 1992 and 1995, and it resulted in the deaths of more than 100 thousand people and turned almost half the population into refugees.
