Morocco's annual inflation stable at 1.6% in August

Said the Moroccan High Planning Commission, said Thursday that consumer inflation in Morocco rates steady at 1.6 percent on an annual basis in August, unchanged him in July.
The annual inflation in food prices to 3% from 2.7% in the previous month, while inflation, non-food prices increased slightly to 0.6% in the twelve months to August from 0.5% on an annual basis in July.
Transportation costs fell 0.9 percent, but hotel and restaurant prices rose 2.6% as HCP said without further details.
On a monthly basis the consumer price index stood at 0.2% in August, the same level in July, as food prices increased 0.2%, while non-food prices fell 0.1%.
