The Football Association and Manchester City announced Friday the death of Sylvia Gore, the first woman to score a goal for the team in Anhaltra caps, at the age of 71 years.
And Gore made history on November 18, 1972, when the nets Scotland rocked in his first competitive match for England, who finished the meeting, the winner 3-2.
Said Steve Hutton, the leader of England and Manchester City that Gore "was a great figure in the club and a legend in women's football."
She added: "Seviqdha all the players Manchester City. Our feelings with her family and friends at this sad time."
