US Newspapers: Obama's candidacy for the position of Muslims federal judge blow to Trump

US President Barack Obama nominated a Muslim to the post of federal judge, in the first step of its kind by any US president.

The site "Business Insider" that Obama nominated lawyer Obaid Qureshi, the slope of Pakistani origin for the position of judge of the federal court in Washington, which had been the ratification of the nomination, will be the first federal judge Muslim.

According to the National Law Journal to the US, the Qureshi partner in the company, "Land of Ethan Watkins" legal. While the historic candidacy, and represents a blow to the Republican candidate in the US presidential election, Donald Trump, who said earlier this year that Islamic judges would be biased, but that is unlikely to become Qureshi within federal judges soon.

The Guardian newspaper had indicated earlier this year that Obama did not nominate a Muslim after the federal positions although it is leading efforts unprecedented to diversify federal judge's 785 judges group, according to a federal district center, of which about 90 % of outstanding vacancies.

Senate Republicans have refused more of those nominated by Obama to eliminate the federal more than any other president for the past thirty years, according to the analysis published by counterparts Democrats last May, the Washington Post newspaper.

Obama has nominated Merrick Garland for the position of judge of the US Supreme Court, replacing Anthony Scalia, who died last March, but is still awaiting Senate confirmation yet. There are dozens of other federal seats will remain vacant, which is likely during the remaining months of Obama's mandate, and the reason for this is due largely to the campaign led by Republicans against those who nominated Obama.

As for Qureshi, was born in Pakistan, he was leading law firm in Los Angeles since 2012, after it became a partner since 2006. He received his bachelor's degree from Cornell University degree in 1993 and a law degree at Harvard Law School in 1997 .

According to the website the company "an ass" on the Internet, the Qureshi concentrated expertise in fraud cases, including in health care and violations of federal laws.
