A government spokesman said that the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe pledged on Wednesday to provide $ 440 million to help Asian countries to strengthen anti-terrorism measures at a time when the region is witnessing an increase in major attacks.

Any Asian countries which will receive the aid was not clear , but theplan includes measures such as the provision of modern systems of identification data and sophisticated equipment to detect explosives.
