South Korean Defense Ministry announced that the North Korean regime held, on Friday, a test is his fifth and "even the strongest today," compared with all the previous ones, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
The South Korean agency, quoting a ministry official unnamed: "We believe that the North conducted a nuclear test today," adding that Seoul considers that the "force of the explosion equivalent to about 10 kilotons. It's the most powerful explosion carried out by North until today."
The South Korean official made the remark to monitor distant earthquake measuring 5.3 degrees near Biongaa-ri nuclear test site in northeastern North Korea, according to the American Institute of Geological monitoring.
American Institute reported that around 00:30 GMT, was "monitoring the possible explosion near the place where previously that North Korea conducted nuclear explosions in the past," adding that the explosion occurred near the surface of the earth, not in the depths of its interior.
This fifth nuclear test conducted by North Korea, noting that it had conducted the recent experience in January.
The most powerful nuclear test conducted by Pyongyang until today took place in February 2013 and estimated its strength day by between 6 and 9 kt.
